Download PrintAQuest Skirmish everywhere I uploaded it.
And check out PrintAQuest while you’re at it.
That little seductive segment about new features was something I thought about after filming. As a result, it’s a little disjoint, but it still makes me laugh, and like any dad joke, that’s the whole point.
The changes to PrintAQuest were fairly sweeping and include:
- All new STLs for walls and floors that follow the new idea of building maps by layers.
- New dice table.
- New rules for manipulating the dice table.
- Quests now released individually to make new updates easier
- The plated prints are basically for all 5 of the first quests, and not scaffolded any more
- It no longer fits in a filament box
- A new half-and-half connector for floors and walls
Yeah, I’ve got to go back and refigure the storage options. But generally this will allow the release of new quests in the future, which is kind of what I’d like to accomplish. Join my Patreon, get a new quest every month. I’m not quite there yet, but maybe this month will be the new configuration for SKIRMISH.
I really enjoy recalling the game with my son that changed PrintAQuest forever. My son truly kicked my butt in the best way possible. And fortunately it wasn’t that big a deal to fix. The new stats for Andrei, Katherine, and Parker (aka the robot and the wizards) will make them better in PrintAQuest proper. In fact, I feel like Skirmish is the perfect testing ground for any new characters. If they play well there, they’ll play well in the adventures. (We’ll see how long that hold’s true.)
I was originally going to just make a video showing the gameplay of PrintAQuest. That’s why I have such good footage of this game from 2 different angles. And I still have that footage. But I’m finding that boardgame play footage is a little and requires significant editing to liven up. If y’all wanted, I’d love to release the full gameplay session for you to watch, even though it’s old stats and old rules. But would anyone watch it?
