How much is integrity worth? A recent brand deal didn’t go the way I expected when they insisted I sign a contract that went against everything we had discussed. So instead of a sweet brand deal, you get this video exposing the contract brand influencers are put under.
I’m a little worried this video might come off as “holier than thou”, implying that anyone under a brand deal is doing something wrong. For sure I’ve seen videos where the host is having a hard time finding anything good to say. And in those cases I’m sure those influencers are under a restrictive contract that they have to say only nice things. And you can watch them die a little inside while what they want to say is stifled.
In case anyone think my $1000 demand wasn’t unreasonable, there are some channels for which $1000 ask isn’t any big ask. Mine is not one of them. My channel only commands about $300 for a dedicated video. So my $1000 demand really was unreasonable. Would have been nice, though.
I spent way too long on the graphic for the fake email. But I love it so much.
My last couple of videos about PrintAQuest:SKIRMISH have, for all intents and purposes, flopped. They were necessary for the release, though. I didn’t think anyone would printout and build and play the game without a few videos answering the questions about “how does it play.” I mean, no one has printed it yet, as far as I know. But without that video it definitely is never gonna happen.
