Speedpaint promises to make painting minis easy and colorful by flowing into the details to make them pop automatically. But what if your minis are 3D printed? Will the FDM layer lines break the process? Let’s find out.

I have to admit, I have an ulterior motive to coloring these minis. PrintAQuest has become so much more than a couple of minis and dungeon tiles. It’s birthed it’s own story which I’ve already started writing and am exploring publishing options. But I’d like to drum up interest in PrintAQuest by telling this story in shorts, a bit like I’ve seen Jill Berrup doing with Just Space Me Now. To do that, i think I need something better than flat colored FDM 3D prints. I’m really looking forward to this part. This will also require me to model the taverns set, since most of the first book takes place in various taverns. So… I’d better get on that.
If you haven’t checked out PreintAQuest: SKIRMISH, I’d really appreciate if you would. It’s available anywhere I upload 3D print files.
