Autodrop 3D Print Farm Full Interview Video

Watch on YouTube

Well, the first video of the new year and the new decade is one that is almost impossible to listen to. But I realized how this could have been done better the moment I wrote the description. I should have just told you the story of finding these guys in a corner of ERRF where no one was paying attention to them, and the possibilities I saw for the tech. Then use the minimum amount of crappy audio in that video, and link to this one as bonus content. This would have required a lot more work, but it would have been much more watchable.  I might even prove my point by actually doing that later. In fact I’m going to rename this video so to make it clear it’s extra content to a video that, as of this writing doesn’t exist.

I’ll get right on that just as soon as my new mic comes in.

Yeah, audio problems are my bane right now. My old lav mic got… uh… misplaced, so I needed to order another one. So that’s kind of why I’ve been taking a break. That, and I’ve been thinking a lot about really putting more effort into my recorded videos, which means the time to produce them will go up, which means I’ve either got to do a lot less videos or see less of my wife and kids. Or quit my job and live in poverty until this YouTube thing takes off properly. But I can’t help feeling that I’m never going to achieve YouTube fame in the 3D printing realm, so less videos, but higher quality it’s gonna be.

Of course if you want more of me, there’s always twitch. Yeah, I’m gonna be ramping up my Twitch presence. In fact that’s one of my goals for 2020. I have several goals for 2020. They are, in no particular order:

  • Get Twitch affiliate status
  • Run the Modular Space Ships Kickstarter
  • Launch the Chibmial’s Channel with ARG
  • Make more watchable Youtube Content

And I am literally working on all 4 of these right now at the same time and it’s kinda stressing me out. But that’s okay, a little stress, a little refiners fire, that makes the steel strong.
